Lipstick is one of the hardest stains to remove from clothing. It’s especially tough to get out of overalls, where the fabric is thick and the stain is likely to affect multiple panels. But don’t worry, because we’ve got you covered with our easy-to-follow steps!

Baking soda can soak up any remaining oil from lipstick stains, so start by vacuuming your overalls with a small brush attachment. After that, sprinkle baking soda on the affected area and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
Mix together equal parts rubbing alcohol and dish soap. Use a towel or rag to dab the mixture onto the stained area, but be careful not to rub too vigorously so as not to spread the stain. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes or so, then rinse away with cold water.
It may sound strange, but baby wipes are surprisingly effective at removing lipstick stains. Gently dab the stained area with the wipes, then use a damp cloth to wipe away residue. Finally, use a dry cloth to blot up any remaining moisture.
If all else fails, you can try using nail polish remover. Take some of the remover on a cotton ball and dab it lightly onto the stained area. Rinse away with cold water as soon as the stain has been removed. Be sure to avoid rubbing or scrubbing as this could cause stain to spread.
Getting lipstick on your overalls can be a real drag, but hopefully these methods will help you clean the stain with ease. Be sure to test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first, and if in doubt, take your overalls to the dry cleaner as soon as possible.
