Start by Blotting the Stain

To start the removal process, begin by blotting the stain with a dry paper towel or cloth. This will help to soak up some of the excess grease and oil from the lipstick. Be sure to avoid rubbing fabric, as this can cause the stain to spread further.

Create a Mixture of Dawn Detergent and Hydrogen Peroxide

Next, create a cleaning solution with Dawn detergent and 3% hydrogen peroxide. Combine equal parts of both ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Make sure the mixture is lightly foamy before applying it to the stain.

Spot Clean the Stain Gently

Gently dab the mixture onto the stain using a soft cloth, being sure not to rub in the mixture directly into the fabric. Work your way from the outside of the stain towards the center, applying more pressure as you get closer to the center of the stain. Be sure to rinse off the area frequently to keep the stain from spreading further.

Rinse off the Mixture and Let Dry

Once the stain has faded, rinse area off with cold water. Avoid using hot or warm water, as this can cause the stain to set further into the fabric. Let the area air-dry naturally and avoid using a hairdryer or any other heat source, as this can cause the stain to become permanent.
