Lipstick stains on delicate fabrics such as mohair can be difficult to remove, but if you act quickly you can salvage your favourite outfit. Mohair is a lightweight fabric made from the hair of goats or angora rabbits, which makes it particularly vulnerable to staining.

To begin removing stain, first blot spot with cold water and a clean cloth. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then blot again. Don't rub or scrub, as this could further damage the fabric.

Next, mix a small amount of mild detergent with some cold water. Apply the solution to the affected spot using a soft-bristle brush or sponge, and gently work it into the fabric. Blot with a clean cloth to remove stain and any residue. Continue until the stain is completely gone.

Finally, rinse out the detergent with cold water. You may have to repeat the process if there is still some residue left. Allow the fabric to air dry, and your mohair should be looking as good as new.

By following these steps, you can easily remove lipstick stains from mohair fabrics. Keep in mind that certain types of lipsticks may be more difficult to clean than others, so it's important to follow these instructions carefully.
