Step 1 – Blot the Stain

Grab some paper towels and blot stained area with gentle pressure. Don’t rub the stain as this can cause it to spread and become worse. Work quickly and carefully until you’ve removed as much of stain as possible.

Step 2 – Prepare a Cleaning Solution

Make a simple cleaning solution with one tablespoon of dish soap, one tablespoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of warm water. Mix them together until it forms a paste. Then apply it to the stained area and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3 – Gently Scrub the Stain

Use an old toothbrush or cleaning brush to gently scrub paste into the stain. Do this in circular motions and don't be too rough. This should help to lift the stain and remove any residual particles.

Step 4 – Rinse Stain

Use cold water and a clean cloth to rinse the stained area. Make sure to check that all of the paste and stain has been removed before allowing the fabric to air dry.

Step 5 – Apply Stain Remover

If the stain remains, use a commercial stain remover designed for mesh fabrics or a non-abrasive kitchen cloth. Follow the instructions on the packaging and then rinse the fabric again.

Step 6 – Allow to Air Dry

After you’ve finished cleaning fabric, allow it to air dry in a warm, sunny spot. If possible, hang the fabric outside to let the sun do its work. Then your mesh fabric will be good as new!
