Supplies
- Detergent
- White vinegar
- Liquid dish soap
- Borax powder
- Hydrogen peroxide
Instructions
- Pre-treat the stain. Use a liquid detergent and a soft brush to pre-treat area. Make sure to keep the scrubbing gentle in order to avoid damaging fabric.
- Mix the solution. In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap.
- Apply the solution to stain. Using a clean cloth, apply the mixture directly to the stain.
- Let it sit. Allow mixture to sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing.
- Rinse. Rinse the stained area with warm water until entire mixture is removed.
- Repeat as necessary. You may need to repeat this process several times in order to completely remove the lipstain from the fabric.
- For tough stains. For tougher, more stubborn stains, try mixing 1/4 cup of borax powder and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide. Then proceed through steps 2-5 above.
- Air dry. Once the stain has been removed, allow the fabric to air dry completely.
