Lipstick stains can be a real nuisance. Not only do they look unsightly, but they're difficult to remove from certain fabrics. However, when it comes to Lacoste clothing, you don't have to fret. With the right technique, you can restore your garment's original glory. Here's how:

Step One: Test

The first step is to make sure the item of clothing is colorfast. This means it won't run or fade when washed or exposed to a cleaning solution. To test this, simply dab a small amount of rubbing alcohol on an inside seam of the garment and wait a couple of minutes. If the color doesn't change, you can move onto the next step.

Step Two: Absorb

Next, grab a cloth or paper towel and gently blot the stained area to absorb as much of the lipstick as possible. Make sure not to rub too hard as this could damage the fabric.

Step Three: Apply Solution

Now it's time to break out the cleaning solution. For Lacoste, a mixture of liquid detergent and cold water should do the trick. Simply mix a few drops of detergent into a bowl of cold water and dip a cloth in the mixture. Gently apply the solution to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Step Four: Rinse

Once stain has been treated with solution, it's time to rinse. Fill a sink with cold water and submerge the garment for a few minutes. This will help to remove any lingering residue.

Step Five: Dry

Finally, hang the item up to dry. Do not place in the dryer. Once dry, the lipstick stain should be gone!
