The longer that lipstick has to set in fabric, harder it will be to remove. As soon as you notice a stain, blot it with a clean, damp cloth. This should help prevent the stain from spreading.
If the area is still stained after blotting, use a stain remover specifically designed for fabrics like handbags and purses. Spot test cleaner on an inconspicuous area first, to make sure it won’t discolor or otherwise damage the bag. Follow the instructions for product, and you should be able to remove the stain with ease.
If you don’t have a stain remover on hand, you can create a cleaning solution on your own. Dilute a small amount of liquid dish soap in a cup of warm water, then dip a white cloth into the solution. Use this cloth to gently scrub the stained area, taking care not to spread the stain further. Rinse the cloth often while cleaning, and blot the stain until it comes out.
With these methods, you should be able to remove lipstick stains easily and quickly. Remember to work carefully and test any fabric cleaners first, so you don’t accidentally damage your handbag or purse.
