Removing lipstick stains from clothing can seem daunting, but with the right supplies and technique, stain will come right off. Here is a step-by-step guide for cleaning lipstick stains off of capris:
- Start by scraping off as much of lipstick as possible. Using a dull knife or the edge of a credit card, gently scrape away at the residue, working in small circles.
- Mix one part liquid dish soap with two parts cold water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the soapy mixture and gently dab at stain.
- Create a solution with one part white vinegar and two parts cold water. After dabbing the soapy mixture, use the clean cloth to blot the stain with this solution. Do not rub!
- Use a different clean cloth dampened with cold water to rinse the stain. Blot the area dry with a third clean cloth.
- If any evidence of stain remains, apply liquid non-bleach detergent directly to the spot and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water and allow it to air dry.
With these simple steps, you'll have lipstick removed from your capris in no time!
