It happens to all of us — you're getting dressed for a night out and somehow, you end up with lipstick on your favorite piece of clothing. Whether it's a camisole or a pair of jeans, there's no need to panic. Lipstick stains can be easily removed with a few simple steps.
First things first: act fast. The longer a stain sits, the harder it will be to get out — and you don't want it to set in your camisole. As soon as you notice the stain, work quickly to remove it.
Grab a paper towel or cloth and carefully blot the area to remove as much of the excess lipstick as possible. Do not rub fabric together; this will only spread the stain.
Create a pre-treatment solution using equal parts white vinegar and regular dish soap. Lightly dab the pre-treatment onto the stained area and let it sit for about five minutes. After five minutes, rinse garment with cold water.
Once the pre-treatment solution is rinsed off, you can launder the camisole as you normally would. If the stain remains after washing, repeat Steps 2-4 until it is gone.
Hang the garment on a clothesline or drying rack and allow it to air dry. Do not put it in dryer; high temperatures can set in the stain. Once garment is dry, check the stain again and repeat if needed.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
