- Step 2: Apply a Stain Remover – Take a commercial stain remover, such as OxiClean, and spray the affected area lightly. Do not forget to follow the instructions on the bottle while applying the solution.
- Step 3: Pre-treat the Stain – Rub a bit of detergent on the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. This helps in lifting up the stain without damaging the fabric.
- Step 4: Launder as Usual – After pre-treating area, launder with your normal detergent in the hottest water that is safe for the fabric. Follow up with a fabric protector such as Scotchgard.
- Step 5: Repeat if Necessary – If the stain still remains, repeat steps one through four until lipstick stain has been completely removed.
