Step 1: Scrape Away the Excess Lipstick

Using a blunt-edged object, such as the back of a spoon, carefully scrape away any excess lipstick from the stained area of broomstick lace. Be careful not to spread it even further, as this may worsen the stain.

Step 2: Blot the Stain with a Clean, Damp Cloth

Use a clean, damp cloth and gently blot the stained area. This will help to remove any remaining lipstick residue and prevent it from transferring to other fabrics or surfaces.

Step 3: Pre-Treat the Area with Spot Remover

Spot removers are specially formulated to break down tough stains such as lipstick. Carefully follow the directions on spot remover and pre-treat the affected area. Rinse the broomstick lace fabric with cold water afterwards.

Step 4: Launder the Fabric

Once you have pre-treated the area with a spot remover, it is time to launder the fabric. Use the warmest water setting that is appropriate for the fabric's care label and add a dye- and perfume-free detergent to the wash. Allow the fabric to air-dry or tumble dry on a low setting.

Step 5: Check Results

Once broomstick lace has been laundered, check to make sure the lipstick stain has been completely removed. If not, repeat steps 2 through 4 until stain is gone.
