The best way to get rid of any stain is to act quickly. The quicker you treat the stain, the easier it will be to remove. Gently dab the area with a paper towel to remove any excess lipstick.
Mix equal parts cornstarch and water into a paste-like consistency. Apply paste directly onto the stain and let it sit overnight. Take a clean cloth and gently scrub the area. Rinse the paste off, and if the stain has been removed, dab the area completely dry.
If cornstarch should fail, you can try using either vinegar or warm water and detergent. For vinegar, mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water and apply the mixture to stained area. Let the area soak before scrubbing it. For detergent, mix equal parts warm water and detergent and apply it to the stained area. Let it soak for a few minutes before scrubbing the area. Both methods should work, but be sure to check the care label of your dress first.
After you’ve scrubbed the area enough to loosen stain, rinse off any remaining residue with cold water. Do not rub the area too much - this could cause further damage to the fabric. When you’re done, hang the dress up to dry to make sure the stain doesn’t reappear.
Getting rid of a lipstick stain doesn’t have to be difficult. Follow these easy steps to remove lipstick from your bodycon dress quickly and effectively.
