How to Remove Lipstick Stains from Ballet Flats
- Start by blotting the stain with a clean cloth to remove as much of the lipstick residue as possible. Be sure to work from the outside inwards to avoid spreading the stain further.
- Mix two tablespoons of gentle liquid dish washing soap with one cup of cool water. Dip another clean cloth into the mixture and gently rub it onto the stain in a circular motion. Continue rubbing until the stain has been lifted from the fabric.
- For tougher stains, apply a paste of baking soda and water directly onto the stain. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before wiping it off with a damp cloth. If stain still remains, apply some rubbing alcohol directly on stain and let it sit for 5 minutes before wiping it off with a damp cloth.
