If you are dealing with a lipstick stain on your backpack, don't worry—it doesn't have to stay there forever. With a few simple steps, you can easily remove any lipstick stain.
Things You'll Need
- Soft cloth or sponge
- Mild detergent
- White vinegar
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
Steps for Removing the Stain
- Using a cloth or sponge, gently blot the stain with a mild detergent to loosen the lipstick.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar with water, and spray the mixture onto the stain. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Blot the stain again with a cloth or sponge to remove any remaining lipstick. If necessary, repeat the process.
- Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, and apply the paste to the stain. Let the paste sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse the area with warm water, and blot it dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Tips
- Be sure to use a mild detergent and soft cloth or sponge to avoid damaging the fabric on your backpack.
- If the stain persists after several attempts, try mixing equal parts dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide and applying it to stain.
