When it comes to lipstick stains, try not to rub or scrub the stain as it can spread and set stain deeper in the fabric. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get rid of lipstick stains from your Armani items:
Step 1: Blotting
Place a clean white cloth over the lipstick stain and gently press down to absorb as much of the lipstick as possible. Do not rub the cloth back and forth, as this could spread the stain.
Step 2: Pretreating
Use a mild detergent and cool water to pretreat the stain. Saturate the stain with detergent solution and let it sit for five minutes. After five minutes, use a toothbrush to gently work the detergent into the fibers and agitate the stain.
Step 3: Rinse The Stain
Rinse garment with cold water and lightly rub the fabric to lift stain away from the fabric. Use a clean towel to pat the area dry.
Step 4: Soak The Garment
If the stain persists, fill a sink with warm water and add a bit of laundry detergent. Soak the stained area of the garment for 30 minutes. Once time is up, rinse garment in cold water until the suds are gone. Hang the item to air dry and inspect for any remaining stain.
Step 5: Washing The Item
If the stain is still there, you can put the garment in the wash on cold cycle using a mild detergent. Check the Armani item before placing it in the dryer to make sure the stain has been removed. If it hasn’t, repeat the process until it does.
