Step 1: Begin with a Cleaning Solution

To start off, combine ¼ cup of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Mix ingredients together and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Stir until you get a paste-like texture.

Step 2: Scrub Stain

Spread the baking soda and vinegar mixture over the lipstick stain, using a soft cloth or sponge to rub it in. Make sure to work in a circular motion for best results. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes so it has time to do its job.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once stain has been removed, rinse area with warm water and dry with a clean towel.

Additional Tips

  • If the stain is still visible after following the steps above, try applying a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the spot. Scrub the area with a soft cloth and rinse.
  • For extra tough stains, apply a nonabrasive cream cleanser in combination with a scrubbing pad or steel wool.
  • It's important to only use cleaning products that are safe for the surface being cleaned. Consult a professional if you're unsure of what to use.
