No one wants ketchup stains marring an otherwise beautiful outfit. Fortunately, it's relatively easy to remove them with just a few items from your home. Here's what you'll need:
- Cold water
- Mild detergent
- Enzyme-based stain remover
- Ammonia
- Hydrogen peroxide (if necessary)
- White vinegar
Follow these steps to get rid of ketchup stains from Uniqlo clothing:
- As soon as possible, flush the stain with cold water for several minutes to keep the ketchup from bonding with the fibers in the fabric.
- Mix a mild detergent such as dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent with lukewarm water and gently rub the stain with a soft cloth. Rinse with cold water.
- If there is still a mark, apply a specifically formulated enzyme-based stain remover, following instructions on the product. Let sit for 15 minutes and then rinse.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of ammonia with 1 cup of cold water and dab the affected area with a soft cloth. Rinse with cold water.
- If the stain persists, try mixing 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 cup of cold water and dipping a soft cloth in it. Gently dab the stained area and rinse with cold water.
- If all else fails, try soaking the item in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of hot water, then launder according to care instructions.
With patience and persistence, you can get those stubborn ketchup stains out of your favorite Uniqlo clothing. With these simple steps, you'll be able to make sure your clothes remain looking brand new.
