Start by wiping off as much of the excess ketchup as you can, using a dry cloth. After that, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a cup or bowl. Dip a clean cloth into this mixture and dab the stain with it. Do not scrub or rub harshly, as this may cause damage. Once you have blotted the area, let it sit for a few minutes.
When the time has passed, take a damp cloth and rinse area. If the stain is still present, you can also try using a gentle detergent. Sulky detergents are best for this and are also safe for use on Uggs. Apply a small amount onto the stain and let it sit for five minutes before rinsing it with plenty of water.
For particularly stubborn stains, you may need to use a spot cleaner. These are specifically made for cleaning leather and suede. Apply a small amount onto stain and let it sit for five minutes before rinsing it with plenty of water. Make sure to follow the instructions on the label for best results.
Once you are done rinsing off the spot cleaner or detergent, allow the area to air dry completely. Do not use a blow dryer or direct heat, since this could cause damage to your Uggs. When you’re sure the area is dry, you can apply a special leather conditioner. This will help protect the leather and keep it looking good.
To prevent future stains from occurring, you can apply a waterproof spray to your Uggs. This will help protect them from liquids and other spills. You can also use a protective coating designed specifically for Uggs. It will add an extra layer of protection against oil, dirt, and moisture.
