If your tent or camping gear is made from nylon or polyester, you don't need to worry about the ketchup stain too much. All you need to do is to use a damp cloth with some mild soap and rub it gently against affected area. Use circular motions to make sure that all of stain has been removed. Don't scrub too hard as this could damage the fabric of your tent or camping gear.

Cotton fabric responds well to water and cleaning agents, so tackling the ketchup stain isn't too difficult. To remove stain, use a mixture of 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 1 cup of warm water.
