1. Blot the Stain Immediately

The best way to start getting stain out is to act fast. As soon as you see the ketchup, grab a clean cloth or paper towel and blot area. Ketchup is oily and it's important to absorb as much of the liquid as possible before it soaks into the fabric.

2. Pretreat with Soap and Water

After you've blotted away the excess liquid, fill a basin with cold water and add a tablespoon of mild laundry detergent. Mix solution and then soak the stained area in it for 15-30 minutes. Once it's done soaking, rinse the solution off with cold water and check to see if the stain is gone.

3. Use a Heavy Duty Stain Remover

If stain has not been removed after pretreating it, reach for a heavy duty stain remover. When selecting a stain remover, make sure to read the label and choose one appropriate for delicate fabrics such as Teneriffe lace. Apply the stain remover according to the package instructions and then rinse the area with cold water. Repeat the process if necessary.

4. Air Dry the Area

Once you've removed the stain, lay the fabric flat and allow it to air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer or other heat source, as this could set stain and make it more difficult to remove. Once fabric is completely dry, you'll be left with a ketchup free Teneriffe lace.
