Grab a clean, white cloth or paper towel and carefully blot the stain, without rubbing it, to remove as much ketchup as possible. Make sure not to spread ketchup further into the fabric.
Create a mixture of water and a mild detergent like liquid laundry detergent or color-safe bleach. Apply the solution directly onto the stained area and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Then use a clean cloth to gently work the solution into the fabric.
Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, you can wash the Tencel using the machine’s cold water setting. The fabric should be set on a delicate cycle. For best results, we recommend washing the fabric separately from other items.
Check the stain before drying the fabric. If there is still evidence of the stain, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone.
Once the stain is gone, you can dry the fabric in the tumbler. Make sure you use a low heat setting for Tencel.
