One of the simplest methods for removing ketchup stains from tank tops is with soap and water. Start by gently blotting away any excess ketchup with an absorbent cloth. Then mix a solution of warm water and mild detergent, such as dish soap. Working from the outside of the stain, sponge on the solution until the stain begins to gradually disappear.
Another great way to remove ketchup stains from your tank top is with a baking soda paste. To make the paste, mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl. Rub the paste onto the stained area before rinsing it off. Again, start from the outside of the stain and work your way in.
Surprisingly, saliva is actually one of the best remedies for ketchup stains. Take a cotton swab and wet it with saliva. Blot the stain using light pressure and circular motions until most of it is gone. Rinse area with warm water when finished.
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and liquid detergent together in a bowl. Sponge the solution onto the stained area using a soft cloth. Allow mixture to sit for at least 5 minutes before rinsing it away. Don't forget to blot away any excess moisture afterward.
Rubbing alcohol is another effective option for tackling ketchup stains. Saturate a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and press onto the stained area. Don't apply too much pressure, and be sure to rinse the area afterward.
