Start by scraping off excess ketchup from stained area. Use a dull butter knife or a spoon to try and lift off as much of the mess as possible.
Once you have scraped away the stain, apply a small amount of a stain remover onto the affected area. Be sure to read the instructions on the product to make sure it’s safe for use on taffeta.
Then rinse area with cold water until stain remover is completely lifted off of the fabric.
Fill a washing basin with lukewarm water and add a couple drops of a mild detergent into the solution. Then submerge the stained area of the fabric and lightly rub area to help loosen ketchup stain. Lastly, rinse off the area with cold water and repeat the process if necessary.
Finally, air dry the area outdoors or hang the garment up in a well-ventilated area.
