The first step is to soak the sneaker in cold water for around 15-20 minutes. This will help loosen the ketchup stain, which will make it easier to remove in the next step.
Once the sneaker has been soaked, apply a small amount of liquid detergent directly to the stain. Gently rub the detergent into the ketchup stain, being careful not to rub too hard as this could damage the material of the shoe.
After the detergent has been applied, rinse sneaker off with cold water. Be sure to rinse out all of the detergent, as any residue left behind can cause discoloration.
Once the sneaker has been rinsed, apply a solution of white vinegar and baking soda to the affected area. Leave the solution to sit for several minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
The final step is to air-dry the sneaker. Remove any excess water with a clean cloth or rag, then leave the sneaker to stand in a cool, dry place. Once the sneaker is completely dry, the ketchup stain should be gone.
With these 5 easy steps, you can quickly remove ketchup stains from your sneakers and have them looking like new again. Whether you're heading out for a day of fun or just showing off your fashion sense, you can be sure that your sneakers will have that extra sparkle.
