What You’ll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Soft bristle brush (like a toothbrush)
  • Water

Step 1: Blot Excess Ketchup

Using a paper towel or cloth, blot the excess ketchup from the stain. Don’t rub it in or press down too hard. Just gently blot at the stain until no more can be removed.

Step 2: Create Your Cleaning Solution

Mix together equal parts white vinegar and dish soap into a small bowl. Make sure they are completely blended together.

Step 3: Scrub the Stain with Your Soft Bristle Brush

Using your soft bristle brush, start scrubbing the stain with cleaning solution. Take your time and make sure to really get into the fabric fibers.

Step 4: Rinse with Water

Once the stain is fully saturated with the cleaning solution, rinse the area with cold water. This will help remove any residue.

Step 5: Dry with a Towel or Air Dry

Once the area is rinsed, pat it dry with a towel or air dry.

Repeat as Needed

Sometimes stubborn stains require more than one scrubbing session. If the stain still remains after using the cleaning solution, repeat the process until it’s gone.
