Here’s What You Need:
- White towel
- Paper towel
- Liquid detergent
- Lint-free cloth
- Iron (optional)
Steps to Remove Ketchup Stains:
- If the ketchup stain is still wet, first blot the area with a white towel to remove as much of liquid as possible.
- Mix detergent and warm water in a bowl.
- Dip a lint-free cloth into the detergent solution and wipe the stain from outside in. Do not scrub the area or you risk damaging the shearling.
- Once detergent is dry, use a paper towel to dab the area. Do not rub or use a scrubbing motion.
- If the stain persists, try using an iron on low heat to steam the area. Place the damp cloth over the affected area and lightly press iron to the cloth for a few seconds. Move the iron horizontally across the stain before repeating the process several times.
- Check the area again after the steaming and if the ketchup stain persists, repeat the steps until the spot is gone.
