Here’s What You Need:

  • White towel
  • Paper towel
  • Liquid detergent
  • Lint-free cloth
  • Iron (optional)

Steps to Remove Ketchup Stains:

  1. If the ketchup stain is still wet, first blot the area with a white towel to remove as much of liquid as possible.
  2. Mix detergent and warm water in a bowl.
  3. Dip a lint-free cloth into the detergent solution and wipe the stain from outside in. Do not scrub the area or you risk damaging the shearling.
  4. Once detergent is dry, use a paper towel to dab the area. Do not rub or use a scrubbing motion.
  5. If the stain persists, try using an iron on low heat to steam the area. Place the damp cloth over the affected area and lightly press iron to the cloth for a few seconds. Move the iron horizontally across the stain before repeating the process several times.
  6. Check the area again after the steaming and if the ketchup stain persists, repeat the steps until the spot is gone.
