What You'll Need

  • Mild detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Old toothbrush or soft cloth

Steps to Remove the Ketchup Stain:

  1. Gently scrape off any remaining solids left on fabric.
  2. Make a solution of one tablespoon of mild detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar.
  3. Dab the mixture onto the ketchup stain and then allow it to sit there for about 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, use an old toothbrush or soft cloth to gently scrub the area in a circular motion.
  5. Rinse out the detergent and vinegar mixture.
  6. Once the area is dry, examine it to see if the stain has been removed. If not, repeat process until the stain is gone.

Additional Tips

  • Be sure to test any detergent or vinegar solution on a small area of the fabric before applying it to the stain.
  • Avoid rubbing or scrubbing stain too hard, as this can damage the fabric.
  • If the stain does not come out with detergent and vinegar, you can try using a spot remover specifically designed to remove ketchup stains.
