The first step is to blot stain right away with a clean cloth or paper towel. Blotting will help absorb as much ketchup as possible, which will prevent the stain from seeping deeper into the material.
Next, spray the stained area with a stain pre-treatment product or a mix of equal parts water and white vinegar. This will help break down the stain, making it easier to remove.
Once the pre-treatment has been applied, soak the rash guard in lukewarm water for about 20 minutes. Make sure the stained area is completely submerged under water.
After soaking the garment, place it in the washing machine and set the machine to a cold water cycle. Use a regular detergent – no need for an extra stain remover.
Once the washing cycle is finished, check results. If the stain is still present, repeat steps two through four until the stain is gone.
Removing ketchup stains from your rash guard doesn’t have to be a hassle. Following these five simple steps will help you eliminate the stain in no time. Good luck!
