Start by scooping off any remaining ketchup on surface of purse using a paper towel or tissue paper. Make sure to use a clean piece of paper for each blotting to avoid spreading the stain.
To pre-treat the stain before washing, mix one teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two tablespoons of warm water. Using a cloth, dab the detergent and water mixture on affected area of the purse and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Once the stain has been pre-treated, rinse it with cold water. Make sure to use cold water to avoid setting the stain.
After rinsing with cold water, put the purse in the washing machine on a delicate cycle with cold water. Use a gentle detergent and no bleach to avoid damaging the fabric. After washing, air dry the purse or place it in the dryer on a low-heat setting.
By following these steps, you will be able to remove ketchup stains from your purse easily and quickly!
