Step 1: Brush off Crusty Ketchup

If the ketchup has had some time to dry or crust up, it's best to remove it with a soft brush first. This will help loosen up the stain and make it easier to take care of later.

Step 2: Apply a Stain Remover

Once you've brushed off the crust, you'll want to apply a special stain remover to the affected area. Choose a product that is designed specifically for pet beds and follow the instructions on the label. Be sure to thoroughly saturate the area with the remover before moving onto the next step.

Step 3: Rinse Well with Cold Water

After you've let the stain remover sit for the recommended amount of time, it's important to rinse the area very well with cold water. You want to ensure that all of the stain remover and ketchup residue is removed from pet bed.

Step 4: Throw in the Washer

To be extra sure that your pet's bed will be good as new, throw it into the washing machine on a gentle cycle with a gentle detergent. When the cycle is finished, take the bed out and let it air dry. Do not put it in the dryer!

And voila!

With these four simple steps, you can easily get rid of ketchup stains on pet beds. Be sure to be thorough and give the bed a good rinse to make sure all of the residue is gone. Now your pet can rest easy on their clean, stain-free bed.
