What You Need

  • Dish soap
  • Warm water
  • Soft cloth
  • White vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. If the stain is fresh, use a soft cloth to gently dab or blot the area to absorb the ketchup.
  2. After the excess ketchup is removed, dampen the cloth in warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. If you have white vinegar on hand, you can also add a teaspoon to the mix.
  3. Gently rub the soapy cloth against the stained area in a circular motion.
  4. Rinse the area with warm water and use a dry cloth to dry it off.
  5. Launder skirt according to its care instructions.

Tips

  • Be sure to test any cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area first to protect the fabric’s color.
  • Avoid using hot water or bleach, as these can cause discoloration.
  • When in doubt, take your skirt to the dry cleaner to get the job done.
