The first step is to blot the stain with a dry, white cloth. This will help remove the excess ketchup before you move on to the next steps.
Next, rinse the stain with cold water. This will help loosen the stain and prepare it to be treated.
Mix a small amount of mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, with water. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the stain with the detergent solution.
Rinse the stained area with cool water and then blot it dry with a white cloth. This will help to remove any residue or remaining detergent.
Spray the stain with a stain pre-treatment product. Allow the product to sit on the fabric for the recommended amount of time, usually 10 to 15 minutes.
Put the one-piece in the washing machine and wash it with cold water on a gentle cycle. Make sure to turn the one-piece inside out to protect the color.
Once cycle is complete, hang the one-piece up to air dry. Avoid using a dryer, as this could potentially set the stain into the fabric.
