Using a butter knife, gently scrape off any excess ketchup that’s caked onto the surface of the macramé. Be sure to exercise caution so as not to damage the delicate threads of fabric.
Mix equal parts of liquid laundry detergent and white vinegar in a bowl. This combination will create an effective solution that will break down the ketchup stain.
Take a cloth and dip it in the stain removal solution. Then, gently blot the stained area of the macramé and let the solution sit for 10 minutes. Don’t scrub, as this could damage the fabric.
Take the macramé and rinse it thoroughly using cool running water. Then, lay the fabric flat on a clean towel and allow it to air dry completely before you attempt to hang it up or wear it.
To guarantee that the stain has been removed and to ensure fabric doesn’t become soiled again, launder your macramé as usual. This includes pre-treating any remaining stubborn stains.
No one likes to deal with stains on their favorite macramé fabric, but with the right supplies and a bit of patience, you can easily remove ketchup stains from macramé fabric. Good luck!
