The first step is to gently blot the stained area with a soft cloth. This will help to remove some of the excess ketchup and prevent the stain from setting too deep into the fabric.
Mix together a few drops of dish soap and a tablespoon of white vinegar in a bowl or cup. Dip the cloth into the mixture and then wring it out until it is just damp. Gently scrub stained area with the soapy cloth, being careful not to rub too hard.
When finished, rinse the soapy suds away with cool water. Be sure to let headband air dry before wearing it again.
