Step 1: Blot Using a Paper Towel

If the stain is still fresh, you should first try to blot the excess ketchup on the hat using a damp paper towel. Blot the stained area on hat gently until no more ketchup comes off.

Step 2: Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water and pour it onto the stained area. Let mixture sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

Step 3: Apply Dish Soap

Mix a few drops of dish soap with lukewarm water and apply it to the stain. Rub the area gently using soft cloth or brush and rinse with lukewarm water.

Step 4: Apply White Vinegar and Baking Soda

Mix two parts white vinegar to one part baking soda and apply it on the stained area. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Step 5: Apply Ammonia

Mix equal parts water and ammonia and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Step 6: Apply Laundry Detergent

Mix a few drops of laundry detergent with lukewarm water and rub the mixture onto ketchup stain. Rinse the area with lukewarm water.

Step 7: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Apply rubbing alcohol directly onto the ketchup stain using a cotton ball. Let it sit for 5 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Step 8: Let the Hat Air-Dry

After treating the ketchup stain, hang the hat outside so that it can air-dry naturally. This will help to preserve the fabric and prevent ketchup stain from setting in.
