What You'll Need

  • A bowl
  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • A toothbrush

Step 1: Clean the Bowl

Beginning by cleaning out the bowl that you will use. This is important because any dirt or food particles leftover in the bowl can actually cause more damage to your hair clips.

Step 2: Mix Dish Soap and Water

Next, mix dish soap with enough water to form a thin, soapy mixture. You don't need too much, just enough to create a nice lather.

Step 3: Soak the Hair Clips

Now it's time to soak the hair clips in the soapy mixture. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to allow the soap to work its magic.

Step 4: Scrub the Residue

Once hair clips have soaked for awhile, take a toothbrush and gently scrub off any remaining residue of ketchup. Be careful not to scrub too hard or you might end up scratching surface of the clip.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

After scrubbing, rinse clips in warm water and gently pat them dry with a soft cloth or towel.

Step 6: Enjoy

And finally, you're ready to enjoy your shiny, ketchup-free hair clips!
