Using a butter knife or spoon, carefully scrape away excess ketchup from the fabric.
Hold the stained area under cold running water for a few seconds, allowing the water to pass through the fabric. As you rinse, keep rubbing the affected area with your fingers. This will help remove more of the ketchup from the fabric.
Pour undiluted white vinegar onto the stained area, allowing it to sit and work its magic for a few minutes.
Once the vinegar has had time to soak in, rub a small amount of dish detergent on the stain and let it set for a few minutes.
Fill a sink or bowl with cold water and add some liquid dish detergent. Allow the fabric to soak in the solution for 15-30 minutes.
After the fabric has soaked, rinse away the detergent and vinegar and then lay the fabric flat on a towel to air dry.
