Ketchup is a tricky stain, since the tomato-based sauce contains vinegar, oil, sugar, spices, and food coloring which all have different properties. That's why it's important to approach ketchup stains as soon as they occur, before they have time to set in.

Step 1: Start by blotting up as much of the ketchup as possible using a paper towel or cloth. Avoid wiping, as this could spread the stain.

Step 2: Make a solution of 1 teaspoon liquid detergent and 1 cup warm water. Dip a clean cloth into mixture and blot the stained area. Work from the outside of the stain towards the center.

Step 3: Rinse the area with warm water. Be sure to use a gentle stream of water and not too much pressure, as that could make the stain worse.

Step 4: Blot the area with a paper towel or towel to absorb the excess water. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 2 and 3 until it's completely gone.

Step 5: It's a good idea to apply a stain remover specifically designed for chiffon georgette fabric after the stain has been removed. This will help to prevent future staining.

Step 6: Air dry the fabric or put it in the dryer on low heat. Do not put the garment in dryer if the stain is still present, as this could cause it to set.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully remove ketchup stains from your chiffon georgette fabric.
