As soon as you notice the stain, take a white paper towel and gently start blotting it. Don't rub the fabric as this could cause the stain to spread. Simply press down on the paper towel to absorb as much of sauce as possible.
Spray the stained area with a laundry detergent. Make sure to use a detergent that is specifically formulated for delicate fabrics. Allow the detergent to work its way into the fabric and then rinse away with cold water.
To really break up the stain, mix 3 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of dishwashing detergent to 1 quart of warm water. Gently submerge the stained area into solution and allow it to soak for at least 10 minutes. Gently agitate the fabric while it's soaking to help lift the stain out.
To finish, machine wash your garment on the delicate cycle using cold water. You may want to add a color-safe bleach to the wash to ensure a thorough cleaning. Once cycle is complete, hang your garment to dry or lay it flat. Be sure to not put it in the dryer as this can set the stain.
