If you want to save your Charmeuse fabric from an unsightly ketchup stain, then the sooner you start cleaning it, the better. Begin by blotting the stain with a clean cloth; never rub or scrub it. Then, make a cleaning solution with lukewarm water and mild laundry detergent in a bowl. Next, dip a clean, white cloth into the cleaning solution and dab it onto the ketchup stain.
Continue dabbing the ketchup stain with damp cloth until all of the ketchup is absorbed into cloth. Once the ketchup is gone, rinse out cleaning solution with warm water and blot dry with a towel. If the stain still persists, repeat the entire process until the stain is removed. Finally, hang your Charmeuse fabric in the sun to let it dry naturally.
