Follow these simple steps to get ketchup stains out of your business attire quickly and effectively.

Step 1: Act Quickly

The sooner you address the ketchup stain, the better. If possible, try to act immediately before the ketchup has a chance to dry.

Step 2: Blot Away Excess Ketchup

Using a clean white cloth or paper towel, gently dab the area with the stain to absorb as much ketchup as possible. Do not rub in a circular motion as this will spread stain further.

Step 3: Rinse with Cold Water

Move the stained area over a sink and rinse the back side of the fabric with cold water. It’s important to use cold water as hot water will set stain. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing fabric to prevent the stain from spreading.

Step 4: Apply a Stain Remover

Apply a pre-wash stain remover to the ketchup stain. Allow it to sit for several minutes, then blot it off with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Step 5: Wash as Normal

As soon as possible, wash the garment according to its care instructions. To reduce shrinkage, air dry garments instead of running them through the dryer.

Step 6: Check for Residue

If a stain remains, repeat the previous steps until it has been removed. If the stain persists, consider taking the garment to a professional cleaner.

Conclusion

Although ketchup stains can be tricky, they don’t have to ruin your business attire. By following these steps, you can eliminate ketchup stains quickly and easily.
