What You'll Need
- Cold water
- Dishwashing detergent
- White vinegar
- Salt
- Stain remover
Instructions
- First, check the care label on your briefs. If fabric is not colorfast, skip to next step. If your fabric is colorfast, then rinse the stain with cold water.
- Create a paste with a tablespoon of dishwashing detergent, 1/2 cup of white vinegar, and two tablespoons of salt.
- Apply paste to stain and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Using a stiff brush, scrub the paste into the stain.
- Rinse the stain and examine it. If the stain is still visible, apply a stain remover and follow the instructions on package.
- Wash your briefs according to care label instructions.
Tips
- Be sure to use cold water when rinsing the stain.
- If the stain is still visible after using the paste, use a stain remover like Shout or OxiClean.
