Ketchup is one of the most beloved condiments and it’s easy to see why. Its tangy and slightly sweet flavor makes it perfect for adding extra zing to dishes. To start off, remove any excess ketchup that might still be on the surface. Blot up the ketchup as much as possible using a paper towel. This will help reduce the stain size and make it easier to remove.
Once you have removed the excess ketchup, apply a stain remover to affected area. Make sure to follow the instructions on the product and let it sit for the recommended amount of time before rinsing it off with cool water.
When the stain remover has had enough time to work its magic, launder the item as normal using a detergent. This will help to remove any lingering stains and protect the fabric from further staining.
Finally, leave the item out to air dry. Make sure not to put the item in the dryer as this could set the stain permanently. Repeat the steps as necessary until the ketchup stain is completely removed.
