Step One: Blot the Stain

Using a clean cloth or paper towel, blot stain as much as possible to remove as much of the ketchup as you can. You may need to repeat this step multiple times to remove all of ketchup.

Step Two: Apply Detergent

Create a solution of warm water and a small amount of mild laundry detergent. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture, then gently dab cloth onto area of the shoe with the stain. Be sure to not scrub the fabric, as this could cause the stain to spread.

Step Three: Rinse

Using a separate cloth, dampened with clean cold water, carefully rinse the area where the stain was located. This will help to ensure the detergent is washed away completely and will also help to remove any remaining residue from the ketchup.

Step Four: Allow to Air Dry

Once the stain has been removed, it is important to allow your ASICS to air dry completely before wearing them again. Hang them up or place them in direct sunlight if possible. If the weather does not permit, you can use a hair dryer set on a low heat to finish drying your ASICS.
