The first step in removing a ketchup stain is to blot it up as quickly as possible. Use a clean, white cloth to gently blot the stained area, pressing down firmly and lifting away any excess ketchup. Repeat this process until no more ketchup can be removed.
Once the excess ketchup has been blotted up, pre-treat the stain with a laundry stain remover. Spray or dab the stain remover on the stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. This will help loosen the ketchup and make it easier to remove.
Once the pre-treatment has had time to work, it’s time to wash fabric. Set your washing machine to the lowest water temperature recommended for your fabric and add a gentle detergent. For best results, turn the garment inside out before washing.
After washing, hang garment to air dry. Don't put it in the dryer right away as this can set the stain and make it harder to remove.
Once fabric has dried, check for any remaining stains. If any remain, repeat steps 1-4 until the stain is completely gone.
With these easy steps, you can remove ketchup stains from your activewear and keep it looking like new!
