Start by filling a sink or bucket with warm water and about 1/4 cup of regular laundry detergent. Place wedges in the water and leave them there for around 20 minutes. This will loosen up the debris.
Next, grab an old toothbrush and gently scrub away any visible stains. Make sure to avoid vigorous scrubbing to prevent damaging the fabric of the wedges. Rinse the wedges with cold water after scrubbing.
For stubborn stains, repeat the soaking process. Fill the sink or bucket once more with warm water and detergent and let the wedges soak for an hour. After the hour is up, take a look at wedges. If the stains are still present, move onto the next step.
If soaking and scrubbing didn't do the trick, apply a spot treatment on stains. Use a damp cloth to dab the area with a special cleaner formulated for removing insect repellent stains. Be sure to read the instructions on the product before applying it.
Once done with the spot treatment, rinse the wedges off with cold water and launder as usual. When drying, use the tumble-dry setting for best results.
