No one likes the idea of insects around, least of all on their clothing. But if you've got insect repellent stains on your underwear from accidentally spilling it, or from having to use it when out in nature, there is a way that you can easily clean them up.

You'll need to remove any excess insect repellent before treating the stain. Use pointy tipped tweezers to gently pick off as much repellent as you can without rubbing it in further.
Apply a laundry pre-treatment product, such as a paste or spray, directly to the stain. Rub it into fabric with a soft cloth and let it sit for at least 30 minutes before washing the garment.
Follow the directions on the pre-treatment product for how to wash the garment. You'll want to use cold water and a regular laundry detergent to get rid of stain. You may want to try a color-safe bleach in the wash if the stain remains after the first wash.
If there are still stains after washing the garment, use a clothing stain remover or a paste made from equal parts white vinegar and baking soda. Apply remover directly to the stain and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Then re-wash the garment until the stain is removed.
Getting rid of insect repellent stains on your underwear isn't as daunting as it might seem! With the right materials and a little bit of time, you can get back to wearing your favorite pair of underwear in no time.
