What You'll Need
- Stain remover
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Clean cloths
The Process
- As soon as possible, dab the stain on the clothing with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the insect repellent as you can. Do not rub or scrub the clothing or it may spread stain further.
- Apply some stain remover directly onto the clothing. Follow the instructions of the specific product, such as soaking the clothing in solution or using a brush to scrub the stain.
- If the stain is still there, mix half a cup of white vinegar with two tablespoons of baking soda until it becomes a paste, then rub the mixture onto the stain.
- Mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent into two cups of cold water, then soak your clothing in the mixture until the stain has been removed.
- Afterward, rinse clothing with cold water, then wash it in the washing machine with a laundry detergent.
Tips
- Always test stain remover, vinegar, and baking soda on a hidden area first to make sure it does not damage fabric.
- If the stain does not come out easily, repeat steps above.
