What You Need
- White vinegar
- Dish soap
- Baking soda
- Plenty of clean towels
Removal Steps
- Carefully blot up as much of the insect repellent as you can using a clean towel.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and water together in a spray bottle.
- Spray affected area liberally with the vinegar mixture.
- Let mixture sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes.
- Blot up the vinegar mixture with a clean towel.
- If there is still staining present, make a thick paste of baking soda and dish soap.
- Saturate the stained area with the paste and set aside for about 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the paste with a damp towel and then rinse the area with water.
- Allow the material to air dry completely.
- Once fabric is dry, use a clean, soft cloth to go over the area again.
