Using a white cloth or a paper towel, gently blot the stained area on Rosepoint lace. Be careful to press the cloth or towel onto the fabric lightly; otherwise, you may damage your delicate lace.
The next step is to apply a cleaning agent that is safe for Rosepoint lace. If you have a specialty stain remover formulated for lace, great; if not, use a diluted solution of dishwashing liquid. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to warm water and mix. Dip a clean white cloth in the mixture, and then squeeze out any excess moisture. Place cloth onto affected area and leave it on for a few minutes.
Once you've let the cleaning agent sit on the stain, rinse affected area with clean water. You can also use a damp cloth to wipe away any residue that may remain after rinsing with water.
Finally, allow the lace to air dry completely before wearing or storing it. Never put your Rosepoint lace in the dryer! The heat can cause further damage.
